Ali Amin Gandapur, backed by the Sunni Ittehad Council, has secured the position of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, triumphing with an overwhelming 90 votes in the new provincial assembly. His rival, Dr. Abdullah from PML-N, trailed significantly with only 16 votes. In a parallel development, Babar Saleem Swati, also representing the Sunni Ittehad Council, clinched the role of Speaker of the KP Assembly with 89 votes, while his opponent managed to garner just 17 votes. Swati has been duly sworn in as the Speaker, with members of the Sunni Ittehad Council extending their heartfelt congratulations to him on his success.
