“Saudi Arabia to Support Renovation of Dalbandin Airport in Balochistan, Pakistan”

In a significant move reported on Friday, the Saudi government has announced its support to address the deteriorating condition of Dalbandin Airport, a small domestic airport situated in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. With financial cooperation from Saudi Arabia, plans are underway to carpet the runway of Dalbandin Airport. This initiative aims not only to enhance the appearance of the airport but also to facilitate smoother landings for airlines operating in the region. According to sources, the renovation work is scheduled to commence next month. The lack of proper carpeting on the runway had previously hindered aircraft landings at the local airport.

Prior to this development, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had increased car parking fees at Karachi airport. According to a spokesperson for the CAA, the car parking fees at Karachi airport have been raised to Rs100 after an increase of Rs10. Additionally, Rs100 would be charged for parking a vehicle for three hours on the airport premises. Any vehicle parked for more than three hours would incur an extra fee, as stated by the spokesperson.
