The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently shared footage of the ongoing fitness camp in Kakul, Abbottabad, showcasing active participation from Pakistan players. Conducted at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), the camp features rigorous training sessions and gym exercises. The PCB had earlier announced the inclusion of 29 players in the camp, including recently unretired all-rounder Imad Wasim, fast bowler Mohammad Amir, and promising batsman Usman Khan from PSL 9. Scheduled to conclude on April 8, the camp is strategically designed in collaboration with the Pakistan Army to prepare players for upcoming series and tournaments. These include the home T20I series against New Zealand, away T20I series against Ireland and England, and the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. The PCB emphasized that the camp’s objective is to enhance players’ physical and mental strength, team cohesion, agility, leadership, strategic acumen, and overall performance on the field. This is being achieved under the guidance of experienced trainers and coaches, underscoring the commitment to elevating Pakistan’s cricketing prowess on the international stage.
