“Despite his demanding duty hours, Traffic Warden Habibur Rehman of the Lahore Traffic Police has achieved a Ph.D. during his service. Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman obtained a doctorate in South Asian Studies from the University of the Punjab, focusing on “Pakistan-China Relations.” The Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore, Ammara Athar, commended Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman for his dedication to education despite limited resources and announced an appreciation certificate for him. CTO Lahore highlighted that among the 3,100 traffic wardens, ten hold Ph.D. degrees, 150 have M.Phil degrees, and 80 possess Master’s degrees in various subjects. Some wardens also hold degrees in French Science, Molecular Biology, English Literature, and have completed M.Phil in fields like Law, Economics, Mathematics, Criminology, and International Relations. Wardens with M.Phil degrees receive a monthly bonus of Rs5,000, while those with Ph.D. degrees receive a bonus of Rs10,000.”
