Instances of cheating among students during the end-of-second-semester exams have been uncovered in the UAE. The Emirates School Education Foundation announced these cheating cases for the current academic year, stating that appropriate actions will be taken against the offenders. Students found guilty of cheating will receive zero marks for the exam, while implicated employees will be referred to the public prosecution. This action aligns with Federal Decree Law No. (33) of 2023, aimed at preventing fraud and disruption within the examination system. Additionally, a federal law introduced in February 2024 imposes fines of up to Dh200,000 for individuals involved in specific acts related to exam fraud. These measures underscore the UAE’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its education system and deterring cheating behaviors among students and other stakeholders.
